Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Intake ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Intake is a proposal management tool for freelancers. It allows you to generate, send, and receive electronic signatures on project proposals, and to collect deposits from clients via Stripe.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Payments & Stripe Connect

Payment processing is provided by Stripe. When you connect a Stripe account, you agree to Stripe's Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Intake is not responsible for payment disputes, chargebacks, or issues between you and your clients.

5. Electronic Signatures

Proposals signed through Intake constitute legally binding electronic signatures under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and similar laws. You are responsible for ensuring your clients understand they are entering a binding agreement.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use Intake to send spam, impersonate others, violate any laws, or engage in fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create using Intake. We do not claim ownership of your proposals or client data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will be error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Intake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
